The Post Wresltemania RAW always has some surprises as we deal with the fallout of two nights of mostly excellent wrestling, The show kicks off with footage from earlier in the day. Champion Bobby Lashley entering the Thunderdome and is challenged by Riddle, the champ pushes him to the ground and declares he will show him what a champion does and that match will kick off the show.

Riddle scoots to the ring and it cut off by Lashley who just unloads on the challenger throwing him around ringside and crashing his head into the ring post. The beat down continues as the match officially start, Lashley dominates even throwing Riddle’s scooter into the Thunderdome stands, the original bro tries to mount a offence but Bobby is having none of it. A one sided affair with Lashley winning with the Hurt Lock.

Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin Vs The Viking Raiders

The first surprise of the night is the return of Erik & Ivar. Benjamin and Alexander isolate Erik keeping him from tagging his partner, good back and forth between the two teams and The Viking Raiders get a win on their return with the Viking Experience, Benjamin & Alexander deserve better than this but its admittedly good to have a fresh team in this tag division.

Wrestlemania rematch Asuka Vs Rhea Ripley

Charlotte Flair makes an entrance before this match gets underway after missing out on a Wrestlemania match saying she wasn’t welcomed to the event, she cuts a promo berating all the women’s roster in a outstanding heel promo and its a crying shame there wasn’t an audience to boo her out the arena.

Picking straight up from their bout last night these two women just go right at it, exchanging a flurry of blows on each other, Asuka looks laser focussed and wants that title back, her expressions in the ring add to the story ten fold.

Rhea Ripley takes firm control of the pacing of the match in her first title defence, Asuka shifts the balance with a dropkick from the top rope which leads to a suplex; the Empress of tomorrow lands a sliding knee for a near fall.

Asuka mistimes another dropkick and Rhea applies that reverse Texas Cloverleaf we seen last night forcing another close call. There is admittedly a few mistimed spots in the latter stages hinder the action, Rhea rolls into the Asuka lock and as it looks like Asuka will reclaim the title Ripley manages to power out.

Asuka brings out a modified DDT on the apron and as it looks like Asuka may win the title back, she is blindsided by Charlotte Flair and the queen leaves both women scattered across the floor sowing the seeds for Backlash.

These two felt off tonight something just didn’t land here which is a shame after the ‘Mania match.

Asuka Vs Rhea Ripley – No Contest.

Alexa’s Playhouse is next, hopefully this will shed some light on the events of last night. Bliss explains that she discovered she doesn’t need The darkness ( The Fiend) anymore and she unleashes her new evil, a creepy as hell looking puppet called Lily. things are slowly unravelling keeping the viewers intrigued.

Miz TV is next with special guest Maryse shilling the next series of Miz & Mrs. This could be the dissolution of Miz & Morrison as The Miz cuts off John Morrison at every opportunity, this would be a fun way to start a feud.

Damian Priest comes out to call out Miz taking credit for the excellent performance of Bad Bunny last night. As Miz& Morrison argue who is going to face Priest, Maryse reminds them they BOTH can fight him and he accepts the handicap match.

Damian Priest Vs Miz & Morrison Handicap match.

Miz & Morrison don’t even have time to get into ring gear but it doesn’t stop Morrison using his ring experience to apply a rear chin lock to get the upper hand but his advantage is brief; Damian Priest impresses in this outing, he has a great ring presence and could be a huge star if booked correctly.

Maryse gets on the apron and distracts Priest, Miz gets the roll up and uses the ropes to get the victory with his pants down, priest looks angry and this will undoubtedly span over a few shows at least if that’s a good thing of a bad thing will depend if you like these goofy spots.

Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke Vs Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler

Shayna Baszler is a legitimate badass yet she’s being relegated to this poor tag title run, After mocking Mandy Rose for slipping at ‘Mania, Nia slips in return here for some stupid reason, Mandy & Dana slide out the ring and accept the count out to avoid the angry Jax in a pointless match.

Nia Jax & Shayna Baslzer Def. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke.

Bobby Lashley & MVP address the crowd next, MVP is doing some of the best work of his career here which was already a great one, he sells Lashley making him look like a million dollars. He says no-one can handle Bobby as is interrupted by Drew McItntyre.

Braun Strowman interjects putting himself front of the line for a title shot next as the two square off, we get Randy Orton and the Apex predator is here to toss his name in the hat as well. Adam Pearce books a triple threat to determine who will face Bobby Lashley at Backlash.

Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston Vs Elias & Jaxson Ryker

It’s hard not to have fun when the New Day are out, they passionately drop pop culture references and have fun no matter what situation they are thrown into, Ryker and Woods kick things off, Woods is so nuanced with his selling, drawing fans into the story he wants to tell in the ring. As the heels take it to Woods when he finally tags in Kofi its a pleasure to watch him clean house.

Xavier gets the pin in a short match.

The New Day Def. Jaxson Ryker & Elias

Firefly Funhouse returns for the WWE Universe The return of Bray Wyatt and his funhouse friends is a very welcome one. Wyatt turns into a Gospel style evangelist proclaiming his return saying he feels reborn and he shall return, is this the end of The Fiend? either way Bray Wyatt is incredible.

Triple Threat #1 contender’s match

fast paced start to this one, Randy wisely stays on the back burner letting Drew and Braun fight, Braun runs for a shoulder charge and collides with McIntrye holding the steel steps derailing the Strowman Express.

Randy and Drew team up to try and take out Braun and when that feat is accomplished the legend killer strikes on Drew.

Braun picks up the steel ring steps and clobbers both competitors, its not enough to take out the Viper and he lands a RKO but Drew breaks up the pin and attacks Orton with a Claymore and gets his Wrestlemania Backlash Rematch.

MVP comes out and as Drew stares him down T-Bar & Mace formally of Retribution attack McIntyre from behind.

An overall disappointing show aside from Alexa & Bray, Charlotte Flair and Bobby Lashley. Usually the Raw after Wrestlemania has some returns and tricks up its sleeve but this was a low point for the tradition
