Wrestlemania 37 is finally here this two day event taking place in frornt of a live audience for the first time in over a year is held at Super-bowl venue Raymond James Stadium and it will exhilarating to hear actual cheers and jeers rather than the piped in WWE crowd we have gotten used to at the Thunderdome. Whether or not its too early for WWE to be running live crowds is another conversation to be had but regardless of safety concerns the addition of the live crowd is adding layers of excitement to this event.
Night 2 is leaning to be the better of the two cards on paper but thats not too take anything away from this opening event.
Cards are subject to change with possible extra additions between now and friday.
Bobby Lashley Vs. Drew McIntyre For The WWE Championship:
This is either going to open or close the show, personally this championship match would be a perfect opener to gauge crowd reaction. Drew McIntyre has been incredible in his latest run on RAW and it was a crying shame that he wasn’t crowned champion with a live crowd, it was a moment he deserved. Lashley has benefited tenfold of being paired with MVP and the Hurt Business was one of my favourite aspects of RAW till they disbanded prematurely.
I would love to see Drew McIntyre regain the championship here but I feel there’s still plenty of life in Bobby Lashley‘s run and he will retain here to the behest of the WWE Universe.
Bobby Lashley to Retain.
The New Day Vs. AJ Styles And Omos For The Raw Tag Team Championships:
Plenty of intrigue going into this one as this is the Giant Omos‘ in ring debut and on the grandest stage of them all he has a perfect pairing in AJ Styles to help his transition into an active WWE Superstar.
Styles and The New Day have had some great moments in the build up to this bout and although AJ Styles has been belittled and antagonised by Xavier and Kofi, Mania will see him get some revenge and strip the WWE Tag Champions of the gold.
Expect some shenanigans from the New Day and witness one of the greatest wrestlers on the roster in AJ Styles show how good he is at elevating his teammate and opponents.
AJ Styles & Omos to win the belts.
Bad Bunny And Damian Priest Vs. The Miz And John Morrison:
It wouldn’t be Wrestlemania without some celebrity spectacle (the less said about Logan Paul the better) and the former WWE 24/7 champion and Grammy award winner Bad Bunny is clearly having fun being part of the WWE. No matter if you are a fan of the Latin star its undeniable he’s brought a new set of eyes to the WWE and in that he’s cemented his HOF Celebrity status in the future.
It was a wise addition to allow Damien Priest to be part of this match instead of, as originally planned a singles match with The Miz.
The Miz would’ve been able to lead the match with no issues but this added dimension gives fans a little bit more seasoned actions and the more that Priest is showcased the better, that guy is a future star.
The Miz and Morrison have nothing to lose in taking the loss here and I can’t see past Bad Bunny and Priest taking this one home and celebrating on the grandest stage of them all.
Tag Team Turmoil Match For A Tag Team Title Shot On Night Two
The late addition of Lana & Naomi looks to be prophetic and it’ll give the crowd a boosted feel good moment for Lana to finally get some revenge after the torment of Nia and Baszler.
Lana & Naomi to win.
Cesaro Vs. Seth Rollins:
Cesaro is no stranger to a Wrestlemania match but this is first singles bout and its wonderful to see him get a chance to showcase his talents against Seth Rollins; the chemistry and athleticism these two have has all the ingredients to be a show stealer.
The Monday Night Messiah is sure to be the favourite going into this bout but it won’t be an easy ride for him, expect some high class technical wrestling and top level storytelling. No matter who comes out on top in this one, we all win.
Seth Rollins to win.
Braun Strowman Vs. Shane McMahon In A Steel Cage Match:
Shane O’Mac always delivers a show at Mania with his high-spots and antics. He’s been cowardly ducking this match the past serveal weeks and Strowman, while subjectively bullying him and trying to get into the head of the Monster among men.
Shane will undoubtedly be the cause of his own downfall here and instead of trying to use his speed and size to escape the cage he will want to take out Strowman from the top. This will allow Braun to use his strength and finally put an end to this feud and hopefully move onto something a little better.
Braun Strowman to win.
Sasha Banks Vs. Bianca Belair For The SmackDown Women’s Championship:
Much like the Drew/Bobby Lashley bout this deserves to be at either end of the card, hopefully this closes the show. Bianca Belair is having one hell of a run since her impressive rumble win the icing on the cake would be for her to take the women’s title from the Boss Sasha Banks and cement herself as Smackdown women’s champ.
Both of these women are incredibly talented and work really well together and are more than capable of running away with match of the night, the crowd behind Belair would be the perfect way to end the night before moving into the stacked second night on a high.
Bianca Belair to become new Champion.
That closes up the predictions for the first night, check out the predictions for Night two soon.
