- Finn Balor Move Up From NXT Imminent
There’s been widespread speculation this week that Prince Devitt – recently renamed as Finn Balor upon a storming debut at an NXT taping – may be moved up to the main show sooner rather than later, ahead of Adrian Neville, Tyson Kidd and many other NXT regulars, which is sure to delight long-time fans of the Irishman. Devitt also commented on his new name on Twitter, confirming it’s a mixture of two different mythologies, whatever sens that makes.
- Steph Hints At CM Punk Return
While promoting this week’s Raw at WGN Chicago – where else? – Stephanie Mc Mahon teased a possible return for CM Punk, in the future, commenting that the company have had a lot of fun with him, that he’s a special kind of character, and that she’d never say never to having him back again. This is directly opposed to the removal of all Punk merch from the webstore, but there you go.
- The Goddamn Bunny Is A News Item Now
Considering he helped Adam Rose win a match on last week’s Raw, it shouldn’t come as too much of a shock that The Bunny has become something of a news item this week, in and of it/himself. He has a dedicated Twitter account, on which he follows just two people – the WWE and Rose – and, apparently, everyone is obsessed with finding out who’s playing him. To date, Justin Gabriel is rumoured to be under the suit, along with Sami Zayn and even Mr. Natalya himself, Tyson Kidd, who was so insulted by the accusation – or simply so thrilled to be getting some attention for once – that he took to Twitter to debunk it, by simply stating that his kicks are better. Way to keep your dignity, Tyson.
- Bray Wyatt Rumoured Face Turn
Thankfully, the biggest story of the week isn’t about the stupid bunny, but Bray Wyatt, who actually deserves the attention in spite of his sometimes questionable choice in head-wear. Rumours are circulating that The Wyatt Family are heading for a break-up, with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan possibly feuding in the future, while remaining heels. Wyatt himself may adopt The Ascension, of current NXT fame, as his new swamp brothers/slaves and he may even be heading for a face turn, too, which is both weird and amazing to think about.
